Medical Director – MD, Psychiatrist

Dr. Small is a board certified psychiatrist and family medicine physician. His treatment philosophy is founded upon the idea that empathy, self-empowerment, and the re-establishment of trusting relationships are key to recovery. Dr. Small utilizes the latest in evidenced-based medical treatment to treat addiction. He is also skilled in treatment of dual diagnosis clients, outpatient detox, and other psychiatric disorders.

Ramesh holds a doctorate degree in clinical psychology and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. With more than 25 years experience in the mental health field, his clinical credentials include extensive training in EMDR, mind/body healing techniques, Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodrama, Mindfulness, and Yogic psychology/philosophy.

Program Manager

At Bella Monte Recovery Center, Program Manager Brett Northrup is responsible for total operational management including leading staff, program logistics, and providing day-to-day communication with the Program Director to ensure the facility remains on schedule and under control. A team player, Brett holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with his staff, clients, and the community, resulting in successful SUD treatment outcomes. Brett served in the United States Army Infantry and graduated from the College of the Desert Human Services/Alcohol and Drug credentialing program. He is currently certified through the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
