Personal: Diana was born and raised in the Coachella Valley. She graduated from Cathedral City High School and attended College of the Desert and Copper Mountain College. She grew up to be a compassionate, hard working, and assertive woman. This led her to seek a career in a field where she can use and apply those skills that helped her awaken a passion for nursing. Her passion became stronger when she saw her grandfather struggle with his health and seeking how much of an impact a nurse actually makes in one’s life. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding trips up to her cabin in Big Bear, spending time with her family and taking spontaneous day trips. She is a 100% dog lover and will be becoming a dog mom very soon.
Career: Diana received her LVN certification from CNEI in 2019. In October 2019, she began her nursing career at Eisenhower Desert Orthopedics Center. Seven months into her career, all while still working at EDOC, she became part of the Bella Monte Family in May 2020. She then left Eisenhower to pursue a position where she can have more personal interaction with patients and utilize skills she learned in school and started working as a Home Health nurse in March 2021. She since has continued with employment with both of the medical establishments where she enjoys being at very much. In August 2022, she was promoted to Director of Nursing. Her plan for nursing career is to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Tracy A. Thompson, MS is a clinically trained human services administrator that has over 30 years experience working in Hospital Systems, Residential programs and structured Day Habilitation Facilities.
Her forte is working for those battling various behavioral health challenges. She has extensive experience working for people affected by an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, psychiatric behavioral health need and most recently addiction. Her strength is psychological advocacy, supportive counseling and administrative leadership.
Her experience in the field of psychology as an Applied Behavioral Specialist and Quality Assurance officer affords her a unique perspective to showcase her talents as an advocate for those needing support.
She has launched multiple community programs helping those with unique needs from inception to brick and mortar. Citation free audits on both a state and federal levels assured compliance and well-being
Administratively, Tracy has led large teams of both clinicians and Direct Support Professionals. Her 17 year Directorship with Catholic Health Services of Long Island, NY allowed her to chair and govern human rights and ethics queries, build clinical teams, expand occupancy and sharpen her skills as a leader/mentor.
Tracy began her formal education at Morrisville State College, earning and Associate’s Degree in Journalism and Communications. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from St.Joseph’s University on Long Island and her Master’s degree in clinical/educational counseling at Long Island University.
She has recently relocated to Southern California and has applied for her professional clinical counseling license with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Juliana believes in empowering others to help them find inner peace, their “authentic” selves and life’s purpose. She is passionate about helping others and their loved ones get the help they need overcome their addictions and mental health issues and improve the family system. She has dedicated her life to improving the overall health and wellbeing of all living things. She actively participates in a variety of spirituality groups and practices throughout California and is also a certified Reiki Master Practitioner, Ordained Minister, Lifestyle Coach and Grief Recovery Specialist. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with nature, hiking, reiki, yoga, meditation, sound baths, Buddhist meditation retreats, going to concerts and amusement parks, playing with her animals, and hanging out with her two amazing daughters. She has been studying holistic health, Ayurveda, energy healing, metaphysics and integrative nutrition for many years and hopes to one day become licensed as a Holistic Health Practitioner.
Juliana Weed is a well-seasoned addiction treatment and mental professional that has worked in the field since 2001. She got her start at The Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage California and has since worked at various treatment facilities throughout the Coachella Valley. She has also served as a consultant for many programs throughout California and has helped new facility start-ups get their programs up and running successfully. As a single mother of two girls working on her own recovery from alcohol and drugs, Juliana was able to earn her certificate in Human Services/ Alcohol and Drugs through College of The Desert and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor- Certified Addiction Specialist (CADC-CAS) with CCAPP. She also attended Brandman University to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Some of the roles she has had include Director of Operations, Program Director, Family Program Director, Admissions Coordinator, Primary Counselor and Children’s Counselor. In these roles she has also been responsible for staff and community trainings and in-services, community outreach, alumni programs, business development and marketing. Juliana has been professionally trained in a wide variety of areas including trauma informed care and she has worked with a wide variety of diverse populations including the LGBTQIA2S+ community. This has allowed her to have a very broad range of experience and education and made her unique and versatile in effectively knowing how to blend all these roles and responsibilities together to help better serve clients, staff, referents, stakeholders, and the community. Juliana is a take charge, innovative leader by utilizing a whole person-centered-mind-body, solution focused approach with a future focused creative lens to increase client, patient, and staff retention and satisfaction.
Personal: Micaela established a passion towards helping others at an early age. Born in Argentina, Buenos Aires and arriving in the United States at the age of 10 years old, she has experienced different ways of adjusting to new surroundings which helps her guide others into new directions of life. Micaela’s past experiences have not been the best, however it has built her into the strong woman she is now and given her the ability to use it towards guiding our clients towards a new healthy lifestyle. Micaela has found great peace and spirituality in hiking, meditating, and collecting crystals which provide her serenity.
Career: Micaela has been working in the treatment field since 2018, starting as a housekeeper in a treatment facility she made it her mission to become a drug and alcohol counselor. Micaela put herself through school while obtaining her hours required for a CADC, landing her in Bella Monte as a Chemical Dependency Technician. Micaela was promoted to a lead role while also helping with administrative assistant duties within 6 months of being in the company. Micaela will be ready to obtain her drug and alcohol counseling certification soon and has changed her pursuit to a degree in Business instead of Psychology. She now serves as our Program Manager. Micaela finds enjoyment with being behind the scenes running day to day operational tasks and leading her team on a daily basis with compassion and care.
Ramesh Gune’ holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). He is an adjunct Professor of Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles campus. With more than 30 years of experience in the mental health field, Dr. Gune’ had been professionally affiliated with treatment centres such as Bella Monte, Betty Ford, Crossroads, & Axis. He had a successful private practice in Beverly Hills and Palm Springs and continues to offer therapy in person and via tele-conferencing. His unique blend of Western and Eastern psychologies has helped hundreds of clients to lead a happy and meaningful life.
His clinical credentials include extensive training in EMDR, Harvard University sponsored certification in mind/body healing techniques, Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodrama, Mindfulness, and the profound healing secrets of the Yogic psychology/philosophy. Dr Gune’ specialises in treating complex traumas, addictions, depression, anxiety, grief/loss and relationship issues. He has led hundreds of mind/body healing retreats attended by people from all over the world. For the last five years, he has been contracted by CAL FIRE and police officer associations to offer trauma healing retreats to first responders. These retreats are held every month at Nurturing Nest health resort in Desert Hot Springs, CA.
Personal: LaToya was born in Riverside, California. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in 2003. Growing up she’s always had a passion to care for others, which was influenced by watching how her mother cared for her patients as a nurse. She is strong, independent, understanding, and motivated. When she’s not working she enjoys reading, traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with family. Her goal is to continue her education to become an RN and hopefully open her own practice down the road.
Career: LaToya has been working in treatment since 2020 when she arrived at Bella Monte. She has worked in the healthcare field since 2003 after obtaining her CNA Certification. She has worked in skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities with a senior population that required memory care and hospice. She also worked in residential care facilities for adults and children with developmental disabilities and managed a level IV behavioral residential facility. LaToya currently serves as our Lead Medication Technician. She strives to provide quality client care and to lead her peers in achieving high standards. She is passionate about the opportunity to build meaningful connections with our clients in their time of need.
Personal: Apollo is passionate about helping others. He does this in several ways. Not only does he provide therapeutic massage treatments to our clients here at Bella Monte every weekend, but he also teaches at one of our local colleges where he continues to give back through education.
Career: Apollo has been a part of the Bella Monte team since 2014 where he served as a NOC Chemical Dependency Technician/MA while he was teaching part time. When he decided it was time to step away from that role, he immediately transitioned to become our resident massage therapist. Apollo has been a bodyworks practitioner since 2004 following his discharge from the Marine Corps. Since then, Apollo has continued his education, as he now holds a Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Not only does he teach during the week, but he also runs and operates his massage therapy business.
